Grovetown is a small city, part of the Augusta metropolitan area, in Columbia County, Georgia. The famous poet Paul Hamilton Hayne used to live here. Generally, the life here has a rather relaxing moderate pace. The best period to visit Grovetown is during the 4th of July ‘Lights of the South’ show with an impressive firework show and delicious southern BBQs. The two major Grovetown attractions are the Laurel-and-Hardy Museum and the Grovetown Museum with many 19th century documents and historic artifacts.
