Found only a couple of miles from park headquarters in Hoonah-Angoon Census Area, the town of Gustavus is the gateway to recreational activities in Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve and a beguiling little town of craftsmen, exceptional greenery enclosures, staggering views and even a little fairway. Tourists interesting in kayaking can rent kayaks at Bartlett Cove. Here they can also opt for a 40-mile day cruise to enjoy the spectacular view of glaciers up the bay. This place is home to some of the most famous sculptors and artists. Their works have been displayed in the local galleries and town shops.
