Situated along the Sterling Highway on the west shore of the Kenai Peninsula, the town of Kasilof is an angling town. Kasilof boasts a number of expert guides and suppliers extending their services to native and tourist sport fishers, who assemble around May to dispatch float water crafts and go fishing for king salmon. There’s a lot of extraordinary angling in the territory throughout the entire summer, and a few premium sport fishing cabins offer convenient and safe housing for travelers. Kasilof River State Recreational Site is the best place to enjoy wildlife viewing along with some of the most striking views of the landscape.
