Palmer, Alaska
The South-central Alaska town of Palmer is quite popular as a tourist destination. Palmer is quite unique as far as its look and feel is concerned. The landscape is typified by old red horse shelters and hay fields circled by sharp mountain tops. The Palmer Visitor Center, a popular local landmark, is a pastoral log cabin adjacent to the Matanuska Valley Agricultural Showcase, a garden of and the region’s well known larger than usual vegetables. Travellers with an interest in knowing the history of the area can visit The Colony House Museum. The picturesque Hatcher Pass is another highlight of the town.
