Seldovia, Alaska
The coastal community of Seldovia is located only 15 miles across Kachemak Bay from Homer. The landscape of this town is gushing with old-Alaska charm. The best part about visiting Seldovia is that you can see the entire city in one visit. Shops and eateries are at walking distance from the boat harbor. St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, which is located ideally on a hillock, is a national historic landmark. It was constructed in the year 1891. Seldovia’s almost impeccable boulevards and peripheral gravel roads provide an ideal setting for the mountain bikers. Jakolof Bay Road merits a special mention for being the most visited ride by the bikers.
