Catalina is a small town located in Pima County, Arizona. Probably the most interesting natural landmark in this area is the 5,493 acres Catalina State Park situated in the west Santa Catalina Mountains. You can access the Park either via the Arizona Route 77 (9 miles north of Tucson) or via the Oro Valley. There are many long trails ideal for hikers and backpackers, such as the Romero Ruin Trail, the Sutherland Trail, the Bridle Trail, etc. The harsh and tranquil environment can offer some really unforgettable moments for nature enthusiasts.
