Saint Johns is a small city surrounded by the White Mountains and along US Route 180. It is the county seat of Apache County, Arizona. The area has a cold semi-arid winter. This means cold and dry winters, while the summers are hot. Also, Saint Johns is a popular attraction for geology and fossils enthusiasts since it is near the famous Petrified Forest National Park and the Placerias Quarry; both places reflect the rich geological history of the area. While visiting Saint Johns, you can also drive to some stunning natural landscapes, including Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest and Lyman Lake State Park.
