Yucca, Arizona
Yucca is a community situated along the I-40 in Mohave County, Arizona. Built in the Sacramento Valley, it is surrounded by the Black Mountains (south), the Hualapai and McCracken Mountains (east). It has extremely hot summers with the highest temperatures even reaching +120°F. Therefore, the best period to visit Yucca is early Spring or late Autumn. If you are willing to pay a little bit extra for your accommodation than for your usual discount hotel, then you must stay for a week or so at Stagecoach Trails Guest Ranch in Lake Havasu City, about 22 miles south of Yucca. It is probably one of the most exceptional accommodation experiences you can get in the Arizonian Desert. It is a great ranch complex built in the middle of nowhere. It is the perfect place for families with kids or for people who want to take a break from the noise and stress of their everyday routine. You won’t find any TV here. Only horseback riding, discussions with other guests and the family members that run the ranch, daily trips to nearby attractions, simple but great home-made meals, and peaceful sleep. During the night the only noise you can hear is the wind, and the only light you can see is the ‘ocean’ of stars above you!
