Batesville, Arkansas
Situated along the banks of the White River, the community of Batesville lies around 90 miles from Little Rock. Presumably the second oldest city in Arkansas, Batesville is the preferred holiday destination for many history enthusiasts. Amid the Victorian period, numerous elaborate homes were constructed. The ones that are still standing comprise the heart of the city’s two memorable areas. The Maxfield-Garrott House, based on Main Street in the mid-1840’s, is considered to be the most established surviving home. Another popular attraction of the region is the NASCAR Museum.
