Hope, Arkansas
The small community of Hope is located in Hempstead County. This place is primarily famous for two reasons. First, this is where former U.S. President, Bill Clinton was born and second is its unusually large watermelons. The town is also host to President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site. Southwest Proving Ground Museum commemorates civilians and military personnel who served at the proving grounds when the World War II facility was deployed for trialing the bombs, ordnance shells and other ammunitions. Situated in the vicinity of the town is the Washington State Park, a reclamation town, safeguarding the nineteenth century town of Washington, which figured conspicuously in Arkansas and Southwest U.S. history.
