Bootjack, California

Mariposa County in California is home to a great little town called Bootjack. Bootjack is about 5 miles away from some of the most fun you’ve ever had. For people who like history there is the California State Mining and Mineral Museum. You can see models of an actual working mine and how they plan one out to dig, not to mention some great mineral specimens for you to see. After that you can head over to the Yosemite Ziplines and Adventure Ranch. You can go ziplining, rope walking, panning for gold, and a unique wild west shootout experience where you can learn to shoot a real cowboy gun. Don’t spend forever traveling from this fun to your hotel. Stay at the Little Valley Inn, which is only 6 miles from the mining museum.
