Borrego Springs is a fascinating community that is surrounded by the Anza-Borrego State Park, the largest state park in California. If you are visiting this fun area between late October until the second week of November, do not miss out on attending the Borrego Springs Days Desert Festival where you can see parades, carnivals, live music and festivities. Another interesting celebration is the Pegleg Liars Contest, held at the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park every first Saturday of April, where storytellers from different parts of the world compete for the title.
