Compton, California

Located south of downtown Los Angeles, Compton is one of the oldest cities in the county. In the 1980s, the city was very controversial because of the uncontrolled gang wars between the Bloods and Crips. The crime was stabilized in 2010, which makes the city a harmonious place to reside today. Several rap artists were from the city, such as DJ Jazzy Jeff, N.W.A. (Eazy-E, MC Ren, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, DJ Yella), Kendrick Lamar, and much more.
