Corning is also known as The Olive City because it is the home of the Bell-Carter Foods, Inc., the largest producer of olive in the US, and second in the entire world. Their agricultural industry is also rich in dried plums (prunes), and Sunsweet products such as walnuts and almonds. August is the perfect time to visit the place in order for you to see the annual Corning Olive Festival. If you are within the area, don’t forget to visit the House of Brews, a music-based coffee shop, the historic Rodgers Theater, and the Corning Museum.
