Desert Hot Springs, California
If you want to get away from the busy streets of Chicago, New York, and California, Desert Hot Springs is the place you will surely enjoy. Literally, it became popular because of the numerous hot springs that are well-visited by the tourists, especially by the “snowbirds,” a term used for people from the Northern States who visit the Southern States to relax during the winter season. The Miracle Hill is among the most popular destinations because one part is a cold aquifer while the other one is a hot aquifer, caused by the Mission Creek Branch of the San Andreas Fault. You can also visit the popular Two Bunch Palms Resort where they have filmed the movie “The Player” in 1992.
