The City of Shasta Lake, the gateway to Shasta Dam, is located in Shasta County in northern California. Shasta Dam by State Highway 151 stands at 602 feet and definitely merits a visit. Here you can see local ospreys nesting on the top of a pylon through a webcam. Besides that, tourists can enjoy a spectacular view of the Shasta Lake from the dam. You will also find a number of parks in the city where you can de-stress in peace. Situated near Shasta Lake are private and public marinas, where tourists can launch boats, camp and even rent a houseboat.
