Alamosa – Located in the heart of the extensive and beautiful San Luis Valley of southern Colorado, Alamosa is one of the most popular cities in the state as far as tourists are concerned. Here the winding Rio Grande River meanders through a high desert valley lined by striking mountains. The Great Sand Dunes National Park is one of the prime attractions of the town.
