Granby is strategically placed in the heart of numerous noteworthy Rocky Mountain attractions. During the winters, tourists can visit Winter Park, or can ski at the Ski Granby Ranch; a family friendly ski area where it is easy to keep a tab on your children. During the hot season, visitors can go to the Arapahoe National Forest where an abundance of climbing opportunities awaits them. Although the town is not known for its hustle and bustle like the Grand Lake, it provides simple access to the western side of Rocky Mountain National Park. Additionally, Lake Granby is one of Colorado’s biggest and is renowned for its trout and salmon fishing.
