Greeley, Colorado
Situated around 50 miles northeast of Denver, at the conflux of the South Platte and Cache la Poudre Rivers, the city of Greeley is named after Horace Greeley, a New York newspaperman, who encouraged the nation’s youth to “Go West”. One of the highlights of the city is the Centennial Village Museum. The museum offers an opportunity to get acquainted with the region’s history through an impressive selection of one of a kind structures, costumed mediators, delightfully arranged grounds and interactive encounters. Also, the Colorado Model Railroad Museum with its functional model railroad and intriguing railroad-related artifacts merits a visit, especially if you are a train enthusiast.
