White Springs, Florida

White Springs is a town in Hamilton County. The banks of the Suwannee River around White Sulphur Springs have been a popular tourist spot for a long time now. Overgrown oaks covered with moss and the wild Suwannee River make White Springs a particular favorite of paddlers, explorers, bikers, birders and fishers. Huge Shoals State Park is host to Florida’s biggest whitewater rapids. The yearly Florida Folk Festival held at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park draws tourists from all over the state. The museum also features exhibits related to Foster’s many popular compositions.
