Mackinaw City, Michigan
Mackinaw City is situated at the top corner of state’s Lower Peninsula, at the southern side of the Mackinac Bridge. Entryway to the Upper Peninsula, it is one of most sought after spots to visit in Michigan. Highlights of the town include Colonial Michilimackinac, the Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse and Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park. Sitting on 150-foot cliffs over the Straits of Mackinac, Fort Mackinac is one of only a handful few surviving American Revolutionary War posts and a standout among the early fortifications in the nation. Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse and Historic Mill Creek are other landmarks worth visiting.
