Red Wing is located in Goodhue County Minnesota. For the tourist the place has a wide variety of activities on offer, from the laidback to the vigorous. For the adventure inclined, there is rock climbing, mountain biking, golf and downhill skiing. Red Wing is not short of museums either. The Shoe and Museum has the world’s largest shoe on display. The Pottery Museum has over 6,000 pieces of pottery dating back to the pre-refrigeration days. For a relaxing day, go for a bout of shopping or stroll through the brewery and wineries around. The famous Canon Valley Trail is in Red Wing, a converted 19.7 mile trail running along the Mississippi River.
