Batesville, Mississippi

Located in Panola County, Batesville has several places of interest for the visitors to see. The Square, also called The Public Square, can be found right in the center of the town. The Square is home to numerous notable structures such as the Panola County Courthouse, and the Illinois Central Railroad Centennial Monument. You will also find a gazebo, a selection of retail shops and historic homes here. Another popular attraction is the Civic Center which plays host to several events including auto exhibitions and music concerts. If you travel around 10 miles south of the town, you will come upon one of the most beautiful lakes in the state, Enid Lake. This place attracts several fishing enthusiasts and nature lovers throughout the year. As far as annual events are concerned, Spring Fest held in mid May is a major draw for tourists.
