Yazoo City, Mississippi
Yazoo City is a city located in the Yazoo County, Mississippi and on the banks of the Yazoo River after which it has been named. Yazoo City witnesses a lot of tourists thanks to the historical value it holds as well as the recreational areas such the nearby Panther Swamp National Wildlife Refuge that it houses. There are many places of interest and historical landmarks such as the Sam Olden Historical Museum, Confederate Memorial Monument, Glenwood Cemetery, the Grave of the Witch of Yazoo, Yazoo County Courthouse and the historic churches such as the Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church among others. Yazoo City is also a great place to get involved in outdoor activities such as fishing and hunting.
