Beatty, Nevada
Located along the Amargosa River in Nye County, Nevada is the peaceful town of Beatty. Named after its first postmaster and a Civil War veteran, Montillus Murray Beatty, the town sees a lot of tourists due to its proximity to the Death Valley National Park. Beatty is the home of the famous Beatty Museum and Historical Society and several other historical sites such as the Bullfrog-Rhyolite Cemetery, Goldwell Open Air Museum and Rhyolite, the famous ghost town situated near Beatty. Beatty sees a lot of traffic from tourists and is a tourist-oriented town with several famous bars and restaurants and great hotels.
