Alliance, aka “The Carnation City,” is a lovely city in Stark and Mahoning Counties, Ohio. It is called the “Carnation City,” because it gave Ohio’s official flower, the scarlet carnation. Since the 1960’s, Alliance holds every August, a very popular flower festival called the Carnation Festival.
