Lytle, Texas

Located only 23-miles from San Antionio, Lytle, TX, is an interesting destination in its own right. The Benton City Institute, built in 1876 and used as an educational facility until 1934 has educated students in accounting, law, music and surveying for generations. The abandoned building is now a reminder of days gone by and makes for a wonderful photography subject. The Gidley House on Lytle’s Main Street is the oldest home in the community and is destined to become a community museum.
